Ingredients for tehri:

  1. 2 cups rice
  2. 4 tablespoons oil
  3. 2 medium onion, sliced
  4. 2 teaspoon ginger paste
  5. 2 teaspoon garlic paste
  6. 1 cup cauliflower florets
  7. 2 medium potato, cubed
  8. 1/2 cup green peas
  9. 1/2 chopped carrots
  10. 2 tomato, chopped
  11. 2 green chili
  12. 2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  13. 2 teaspoon coriander powder
  14. 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  15. 1 teaspoon garam masala
  16. 4 cups water
  17. salt about your taste
  18. Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

  2. 1 cucumber, grated
  3. 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves, chopped
  4. 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder

Instructions:

Step No 01:

prepare the masala. Take a pot to wash the rice in running water unless water looks clean and soak it for up to twenty to twenty-five minutes and set aside. Take another pot and put in the four tablespoons of oil and heat the oil on medium flame. Add the two medium-sliced onion, saute unless it turns in to golden brown color then add two teaspoons of ginger paste and two teaspoons of garlic paste and cook for a minute.

At this stage add two teaspoons of turmeric powder, two teaspoons of coriander powder, one teaspoon of cumin powder, and one teaspoon of garam masala and cook for a minute then add the two chopped tomatoes, and cook until softened. when tomatoes are softened add one cup of cauliflower florets, two medium-cubed potatoes half cup of green peas, half a cup of chopped carrots and two green chili chopped and cook for fifteen minutes or untill vegetables are softend.

Step No 02:

Cook the tehri. After softening the vegetables, add the soaked rice to the same pot and mix gently. Pour the four cups of water into the pot and salt about your taste and bring the water to a boil at medium to high flame cover the pot and reduce the heat to low when some amount of water is absorbed Simmer for fifteen to twenty minutes or until the rice is cooked. When water is completely absorbed and tehri is cooked fluff it gently with a fork and Garnish with fresh coriander leaves your hot, delicious, and healthy tehri is ready to eat. Enjoy your delicious and flavorful vegetable tahari.

Prepare the salad. Now we are going to make a salad which is good for our health. First of all, you have to wash all the vegetables properly which are used in the salad. Take a bowl and add the two chopped cucumbers, one chopped red bell pepper half thinly sliced red onion, one chopped tomato, one-fourth cup of shredded cheese, and salt to your taste. Mixed all the ingredients in a bowl. You can toss it with your favorite dressing like lemon juice, and pepper. Your fresh and crunchy salad is ready to eat with tehri.

Step No 04:

Making cool and creamy raita. Take a bowl and add the two cups of plain yogurt, one grated cucumber, and half a cup of chopped mint leaves. half a teaspoon of cumin powder and salt about your taste, Mix well all the ingredients and chill for thirty minutes. Now your cool and creamy raita is ready to eat with tehri.
